Is donation anonymous?Yes. Spanish assisted reproduction legislation states that the donor’s identity is strictly confidential and protected. Can the donor ever know the identity of any children born from his sperm? No, the Law states that donation is anonymous. Therefore, donors do not have the right to any information regarding any children born from their sperm. There is also no possibility for any child born from these techniques, to learn the donor's identity. The Law stipulates that when semen samples from a donor have given rise to six newborns in Spain, his semen can no longer be used.
