Who can be a donor?
A young man (18 to 30 years old), who would like to voluntarily and altruistically donate semen, so that sometime in the future it can be used by couples who are undergoing assisted reproductive treatments.
The donor should comply with the following requirements:
- He must be physically and mentally healthy.
- He must have a semen of optimal characteristics in terms of concentration, morphology and motility.
- He should not suffer from any kind of hereditary disease.
- He should be seronegative for the Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) 1 and 2, syphilis, viral hepatitis B and C, herpes, cytomegalovirus, and will not have any bacterial infection that could be found in blood and semen cultures.
